Stomach upset
Spicy-fried foods can be eaten occasionally, but eating spicy foods every day can cause upset stomach and loose motions. Chillies and spices contain capsaicin, which can damage the lining of the stomach if consumed in excess. Spicy-fried food can be home to many diseases
That is why the stomach gets irritated after eating spicy-fried food. Consuming capsaicin can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and inflammation, and diarrhea. After eating spicy food, a person experiences heartburn and gas problem.
Disadvantages of spicy food :
– Appetite decreases.
– Bad breath increases.
– Pregnant women should not eat.
– Bhikhu fried can be harmful.
– Fever, swollen gums, nosebleeds.
– Acidity is affected.
– There is a problem with piles.

Gas problem
If you eat a diet rich in oil and spices, the body’s pH level gets disturbed. The body has its own pH level which is both acidic and basic. Highly spicy-fried foods use a lot of spicy herbs and garam masala which increase pitta and produce more acid.
Due to which the body starts to become acidic after eating this food and causes chest irritation, gas and stomach swelling.
Ulcer problem may occur
Capsaicin increases the production of stomach acid, which can lead to gastric ulcers and peptic ulcer disease. Both of these create wounds inside the abdomen. Eating too much spicy food can lead to intestinal diseases like colitis.
Liver problem
Spicy foods are no less toxic to the liver. Oil from eating too much oil and spices sticks to the liver and fat gets deposited in the liver, leading to fatty liver.
Too much oil and spices also start to damage the liver, which can lead to cirrhosis of the liver. Prolonged consumption of spicy food can also cause hepatitis and jaundice.

One of the causes of obesity is spicy food
There are two main causes of obesity. Firstly, excess accumulation of trans fats means unhealthy fats in the body and secondly, slow metabolism. Consuming too much oil and spices causes both these disadvantages.
Foods with more oil and spices contain more calories, which leads to weight gain.
Secondly, it is high in trans fat i.e. unhealthy fats due to which it gets stuck in various tissues of the body and causes obesity. Third – foods with oil and spices contain fat, which slows down the metabolism and slows down the process of food digestion and weight loss.
Good bacteria are harmed
Eating too much oily and spicy food damages the good gut bacteria. In fact it can disrupt the gut microbiome and harm the good bacteria that are so essential for digesting food and our healthy metabolism.
All these increase the risk of diabetes, obesity and other diseases in the body. So, you can eat prebiotic foods to keep the good gut bacteria healthy.
Oils and spices spoil the health of the skin
Greasy food with oily spices can cause oily skin. Besides, they cause hormonal imbalance in the body, which increases the problem of acne and pimples.
Also, spicy food causes inflammation in the stomach and you get eczema as a symptom. Spicy food activates receptors that normally increase body heat, which can exacerbate acne problems.
Spicy food also harms sleep
If you eat a very spicy diet, limit it to lunch only. Eating a very spicy dinner can disturb your sleep. Eating it at night can cause acid reflux problem. Eating spicy food and sleeping can lead to gas formation or indigestion. Due to this, sleep will be disturbed throughout the night and you will feel lethargic and sluggish throughout the day.

Risk of heart diseases
Oily and spicy foods contain trans fats that raise cholesterol. Elevated cholesterol affects blood pressure, which means it becomes harder for blood to pass through, which causes high blood pressure. This increases the risk of heart diseases. Along with weight gain, it also imbalances diabetes, which also increases the risk of heart attack.
Pregnant and lactating women should stay away
Eating too much oily and spicy food is also harmful for pregnant and lactating women. It increases gas problems during pregnancy and affects the production and taste of breast milk in lactating women. So in both these situations, women should avoid eating foods with too much oil and spices.
