Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has overtaken Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani to become the richest Indian. Ambani topped the ‘360 One Wealth Hurun India Rich List 2023’ released on Tuesday with a net worth of Rs 8.08 lakh crore.
Gautam Adani has slipped to the second position in the list, his wealth currently stands at Rs 4.74 lakh crore. Adani’s net worth has come down significantly due to the Hindenburg Research report. This is Hurun India’s 12th annual ranking of India’s richest people.
Cyrus Poonawalla remains third:
Founder of Serum Institute of India Cyrus S. Poonawalla Rs. 2.78 lakh crore remains at the third position with assets. HCL’s Shiv Nadar Rs. 2.28 lakh crore in fourth position and Gopichand Hinduja with Rs. 1.76 lakh crores in the fifth position.

Dilip Sanghvi, founder and leader of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, stood at number 6 with a net worth of Rs 1.64 lakh crore. LN Mittal, Radhakishan Damani, Kumar Mangalam Birla and Neeraj Bajaj are also included in the top-10 list.

20-year-old Kaivalya is the youngest billionaire:
There are a total of 259 billionaires on the list, which is 38 more than last year. Zepto founder Kaivalya Vohra (20) is the youngest billionaire on the list. For the first time since the launch of the Hurun list, the accumulated wealth of the rich people included in this list has increased to 109 lakh crore rupees. Cumulative wealth of the rich increased by 8.5%:
The cumulative wealth of the rich on the list increased by 8.5%, while the average wealth decreased by 9.3%. The report also stated that the wealth of around 1,054 individuals has seen an increase or remained the same as compared to last year. Of these, 278 are new faces, while 264 have seen a decline in assets and 55 people are off the list.
